SUEDE

SUEDE

Of the four major bands from the 90s Britpop wave, only one remains: Suede, known for their dramatic and dark indie rock. Led by the charismatic Brett Anderson, who is famous for his distinctive singing voice, Suede rose to prominence particularly with their first three albums—Suede (1993), Dog Man Star (1994), and Coming Up (1996). The band has numerous hits, including The Beautiful Ones, Trash, and Animal Nitrate. After being on hiatus from 2003 to 2010, Suede's popularity has grown to arena-scale since their return. Their eighth album, The Blue Hour, released in September 2018, proves the band is still creatively thriving. The Independent awarded the album a perfect five stars, calling it a masterpiece, and critics have repeatedly hailed it as the band's best release in 20 years.
